Right before school started, we made our way to the wilds of Big Bear Lake for a camping adventure. Of course, to prep for a few days au natural, I need to make some provisions, raw food style.
From Everyday Raw by the most amazing Matthew Kenney I made the Vanilla Raspberry Granola. Let me just say, I could eat this each and every day.. hmmm.. need to make a new batch today!
I made two fruit rolls, one banana walnut, one cherry/strawberry, both, delish!

We went to the farmers market and all got new sunglasses.. Malcolm met the world's cutest puppy too!
Then to the Discovery center.. again, did I mention they have a gift shop? Yes, Sam loved it!

Home at last..
and off to the first day of third grade the next morning...
The end of summer.. start of a new school year...
