Peace...A Ripple Effect..Start Something Where you Are... Be A Lighthouse of Peace
I just love smart guys.
On to the Kitch, after you!
No,After YOU! chip and dale are so polite...Today, we make the second item in Everyday Raw by Matthew Kenney. Immunity. Oh, I like the sound of that smoothie! Since there is no photo of this drink in the book, I took a shot of these wise words instead.
When I found out I had CLL, I quickly realized that my immune system must be way out of whack or really not working right. One of my most important healing focuses is on building it back up. So what better for breakfast than an Immunity shake?
Blueberries, cute little guys aren't they?

Why are they so darn good for immunity, what makes them so special? Check this out:
BlueBerries, being very rich in anti oxidants like Anthocyanin, vitamin C, B complex, vitamin E, vitamin A, copper (a very effective immune builder and anti-bacterial), selenium, zinc, iron (promotes immunity by raising hemoglobin and oxygen concentration in blood) etc. boost up your immune system and prevent infections. Once your immunity is strong, you won’t catch colds, fever, pox and all such nasty viral and bacterial communicable diseases. The other cool thing is the darker the berry, the bigger the boost to your bod! I love the wild Oregon blueberries from Trader Joes.Acai is loaded with antioxidants (considerably more than pomegranate, blueberries and grapes). Antioxidants are molecules that may protect cells from the damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals. Free radical damage may lead to cancer. Antioxidants interact with and stabilize free radicals and may prevent some of the damage free radicals otherwise might cause. Acai also carries lots of fibers, healthy monounsaturated fats, iron and amino acids. Right on, Party On Garth!

So this morn, bright and early, we hopped out of bed and ran down to the DDR kitchen to get blending. We are brave, like Bueller ya know (go see her AMAZING posts, the latest on our Sedona/ Raw Spirit trip, love that girl!)
This is so simple, yet, oh so good. With no sugar or any sweeteners it tasted amazing! The family concurred, with Daddy saying "I could drink this all day long!" and Sam, well, see for yourself...
I drank the rest, slurpies and Jamba, move over, there a new drink in town and it will kick all y'all's asses! This is perfect for breakfast and would be good if dinner sounds like too much work and you want to go lightly into the moonlight. To do all 16 dances, ya know, it's time to do em RIGHT! I just love the B 52's and feeling like dancing all around the kitchen with my Immunity in hand!
You do, You Really Really Do..DDR Rating: (5 being the highest praise, 1 being the lowest)
AND NOW drumroll please, the moment you have all been waiting for... the pink bowl holds RAW PISTACHIO NUTS! My farmer friend Ronnie brought them to the market, they are sweet and soft and very good. I will try not to eat them all before I make a fun goodie with the 'staches.
You guys are too smart for me...good guesses!
